Hey! What's going on?

Vineyard.NET is slowly transitioning towards a more standards compliant website that separates the look and feel of the site from the content.

This is done using a technology called Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Unfortunately, support for CSS in older browsers (specifically, anything prior to a version 5.0) ranges from poor and incomplete to simply wrong and painful for both viewers and designers. Ultimately, there is no way to reliably design a CSS-based layout for older web browsers. Vineyard.NET will continue to ensure the overall functionality of its website for older browsers but the overall experience will be a little more spartan than before.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and invite you to consider upgrading your web browser. For what it's worth, we like Mozilla but just about any modern browser, including Internet Explorer, should suffice.

website tools

  • create-website

Use this program to create a new commercial website. The root directory for the website, and all its associate files (logging, reporting, etc.) will be automatically created in your home directory. You can log into the Vineyard.NET servers, via FTP, and have your new website up and running in as little as 15 minutes!

You can associate a domain already hosted at Vineyard.NET with your new website or submit a request to register a new domain name all at the same time.

  • edit-website

Use this program to edit all aspects of your website, including logging and web-reports as well as setting up a custom "results" URL for your website's search engine.

  • delete-website

Use this program to automatically delete one of your websites. Any domains or databases associated with the website (see below) can also be removed at the same time. All the files associated with the website will be automatically removed from your home directory.

You may also wish to read the Vineyard.NET web-hosting FAQ.
