Mount Washington Ascent
October 4th, 1998
My cousin, Mitch and I climbed Mt.
Washington via the Huntington
Ravine route, known as the most difficult trail in the White Mountain
range. The ascent took four hours and 45 minutes, and the descent
via the Lion
Head Trail took three hours. At the summit, (6,288 feet) the
temperature was about 28F, with a wind speed around 30+ MPH.
